What is 40% Bronze Filled PTFE Rod
40% bronze filled PTFE rod is made of 60% PTFE and 40% Bronze powder. Bronze is the most popular metallic PTFE filler. Bronze is an alloy of copper and tin, so it is attacked by acids and bases. Also, bronze oxidizes during the sintering process, but this has no influence on the quality of the compound.
Bronze is used in high amounts to increase the thermal conductivity and reduce the deformation under load when bronze-filled PTFE materials are subjected to load at extreme temperatures. 40% bronze filled PTFE rod has the very good abrasion resistance and compressive strength.
Properties of 40% Bronze Filled PTFE Rod
40% bronze filled PTFE rod is the extremely hard-wearing material, it is electrically conductive. It has great deformation strengths, good thermal conductivity and extremely good wear properties of any filled PTFE.
Weakness:
Not suitable for electrical applications and it is poor chemical resistance
