Expanded PTFE sheet is a very good gasket material, it is very soft and has good sealing effect
Content
What is Expanded PTFE Gasket Sheet?
Expanded PTFE gasket sheet is a soft compressible gasketing material made of 100% pure, multi-directionally expanded PTFE. Expanded PTFE gasket sheet is resistant to virtually all chemicals and has excellent creep and cold flow resistance. Expanded PTFE gasket sheet is capable of withstanding a wide range of pressure and temperature conditions and is ideal for tight sealing of bolted joints in all process industries including chemical, petrochemical, food, power generation, pulp paper and general industrial.
Features of Expanded PTFE Gasket Sheet
Expanded PTFE gasket sheet will not exhibit the cold flow problems associated with virgin PTFE, or the hardness problems of some filled PTFE products. Expanded PTFE gasket sheet has excellent sealability, cuts easily and separates cleanly from flanges after use. This material is FDA compliant, ABS-PDA and USP Class VI certified.
Applications
Expanded PTFE gasket sheet has excellent sealability, cuts easily and separates cleanly from flanges after use. Expanded PTFE gasket sheet is suitable for use in steel flanges and as well as flanges where a highly compressible gasket is required. Expanded PTFE gasket sheet is ideal for flanges that require complex gasketing shapes or larger gasketing sizes and It is also suitable for sealing flanges with irregular surfaces.
Chemical and Physical Properties
• Service temperature range: -200˚C to 260˚C
• Excellent resistance to caustic chemicals
• Low coefficient of friction
• Low dielectric constant
• Non-flammable
Operating Limits
• Media pH Value: 0 to 14 (except for molten alkali metals and elemental fluorine)
• Gasket Temperature: -240ºC to +310ºC (-450ºF to +600ºF)
