What is Expanded PTFE Gasket Tape?
Expanded PTFE gasket tape is made with only 100% pure PTFE resins and exhibits the same chemical resistance of virgin PTFE, it is a highly fibrillated expanded PTFE form-in-place sealant for gasketed joints and conforms to FDA requirements. Expanded PTFE gasket tape is supplied on spools, Expanded PTFE gasket tape comes in various thicknesses with a high quality adhesive backing to ease in installation, making it ideal for worn flanges of all sizes and is not dependent on flange dimensions. Typical Application
Expanded PTFE gasket tape is designed to replace full gaskets by slightly overlapping the tape around the sealing face of one flange and then bolting the flanges together. The soft and flexible nature of the epxanded ptfe material is designed to provide a seal on irregular or defective areas.
