20% Glass Fiber Filled PTFE Bush
Glass Fiber Added in PTFE various amounts (5% to 30%), increases compressive strength, rigidity and wear; reduces creep and cold flow
Content
What is 20% Glass Fiber Filled PTFE Bush?
20% glass fiber filled PTFE bush is made of 20% galss fiber with 80% virgin PTFE. Glass fibers have the least effect on chemical and electrical properties and add greatly to the mechanical properties of unfilled PTFE. Adding glass fibers to PTFE improves compressive properties by as much as 30% and improves creep and wear resistance to standard PTFE. These properties are improved with the addition of a glass filler. This glass filler improves dimensional stability, raises the heat deflection temperature and improves creep resistance. 20% glass fiber filled PTFE bushes resist acids and oxidation but can be attacked by alkali.
